Amazon Echo and Alexa are now available in France

If you live in France, you can now preorder an Amazon Echo device, with shipments of the Echo and Echo Dot to begin the week of June 11th, followed by the Echo Spot next month. Additional devices enabled by the Alexa Skill Kit will also start shipping in France this month, as will localized Alexa skills. “We’ve built an entirely new experience from the ground up that honors the French language and culture, allowing customers to just ask to get music, weather, news, information, and more—just by asking,” said Amazon vice president Jorrit Van der Meulen in a  press release . “And there are already hundreds of skills for French customers from some of the most popular brands in France.” Prices have been  discounted  for launch, with the Echo Dot priced at €29.99 (marked down from €59.99), Echo €49.99 (usually €99.99), and Echo Spot €64.99 (usually €129.99). LSMI grows by 5.89% in 9 months

ISLAMABAD:  Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) of the country witnessed an impressive growth of 5.89 percent during the first nine months of the current fiscal year as compared to the corresponding period of last year. The country’s LSMI Quantum Index Numbers (QIM) was recorded at 149.26 points during July-March (2017-18) against 140.97 points during July-March (2016-17), showing growth of 5.89 per cent, according to the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). The highest growth of 3.33 percent was witnessed in the indices monitored by Ministry of Industries, followed by 1.84 percent growth in the products monitored by Provincial Bureaus of Statistics (PBOS) and 0.72 growth in the indices of Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC). On yearly basis, the industrial growth increased by 1.81 percent during March 2018 as compared to same month of last year, while, on month-to-month basis, the industrial growth increased by 5.88 percent in March 2018 when compared ...
